A little time to 'Reflect and Thank You'

As we reflect on the past year, we wanted to say a little thank you. It really has been an incredible past twelve months, seeing fantastic success being gained from the £15,000 Facebook Competition (Launched Nov 2012) through to the Launch of The Ultimate Prize Competition in June. With over 70 winners staying at the hotel over the last twelve months all experiencing the offerings of the rooms and suites (complete luxury), a three-course meal a combined prize, accompanied with a package of romantic goodies to boot, it certainly has been a busy time making many people happy and making lots of memories.

We have hit targets in-house and exceeded customers expectations through the receipt of regular 'Excellent' reviews, it is always so nice to hear from guests following their stay. Take a peek here: http://bit.ly/1gcgQ8G
 
It has been great to have been an instigator within the industry in terms of our Social Media and the hard work of our staff, all of whom have been phenomenal with various awards achieved as a result of a collective of strategy, management and dedication. All of which has seen other businesses in the industry seeking advice from us too! As we write this we currently have nearly 80,736 Facebook Followers and 2600 Twitter Followers.

So as we mention the awards, we would like to round them up together... (well if we can't boast on our own site, when can we?)

1. The Number 1 Hotel for Romance within the UK & 3rd in the World as voted for by TripAdvisor users.
2. Highly Commended for Hotel of the Year at the Westmorland Gazette Business Awards
3. The Best use of New Media Award at the National Entrepreneur Awards with Nigel Botterill.
4. The Tourism and Hospitality Award at the CN Group Business Awards.

Its been an AMAZING year!

It hasn't gone unnoticed by us however that we have not updated this section of our website for some time and for that we offer you an apology. It has been such a whirlwind 6 months since our last news section that we simply have been focusing on other areas of the hotel ensuring we maintain the standard we have reached and trying to stay a step ahead of the game. Rest assured though it is a goal as we go into 2014 to come back with more News for you on a regular basis.

So to round things up, thank you for your continued support whether you are a customer, a colleague, a member of the press or a competition seeker you have all done your bit to make 2013 simply one of the best!
