Went for my husbands birthday as a surprise for his 40th. Fabulous stay from start to finish. The wintermacy package is well worth it. Awesome all round! We will definitely return. We stayed in a standard room and it was brilliant. Breakfast, service and location all spot on too – can’t fault it and great value!
Lovely 3 night stay at the Cranleigh. Room was better than what was expected. Very clean and friendly staff. Breakfast was gorgeous and plentiful. The Wintermacy offer is well worth it. Would definitely return again.
Me and my wife spent a night in the Escape Suite at the Cranleigh. Check in was brilliant and very welcoming. The staff were very friendly. We had the Wintermacy offer and had breakfast delivered to our room in the morning which was delicious. We got to choose both a continental and hot option with hot and cold drinks.
The room included a full mini bar containing gin, vodka, Baileys with the usual mixers. Also contained a Kitkat! There was a selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate with a packet of biscuits. The main TV is a large smart TV so has access to youtube and Netflix which we found useful.
The room also came with free access to the Burnside Spa which is literally a 2 minute walk. Access to this was easy and was nice to have. It was a treat to have a prosecco in the hot tub.
The hotel is very centrally located, just a few minutes walk from the shops, restaurants and lake.
We had a brilliant relaxing time and we already can’t wait to visit the Cranleigh again in future.
Me and my boyfriend visited this property on a Sunday night and were in Luxury Room 6. We had the Wintermacy offer. The staff on the front desk were chatty and very welcoming. Room was immaculate, loved the extras like mood lighting, wireless speaker, tv in bathroom and up to date TV options! We also were given a discount on BAHA and The Fizzy Tarte, but we did not realise this until we left. I will most definitely make this the only place I stay in Windermere with my boyfriend, and Luxury Room 6 may become the room we opt for all the time! Hope to see some of the other rooms updated and reach the standard no6 is. 5 STARS!
Myself and my boyfriend visited the Cranleigh this weekend after hearing brill things about it and we were not disappointed. Amazing location with the view of the lake from our room, when we arrived the staff on reception were lovely and very warm and welcoming, We stayed in superior room 7 and fell in love with its cosy feel – mood lighting, pretty decor and very luxurious feeling with gorge little touches like the little coasters, choccies and housewater (its the little things) we settled in straight away. We booked with the Wintermacy offer and were greeted with bubbly on arrival in our room and this included afternoon tea for 2 at the Fizzy Tarté.. which is a brilliant little offer. The bathroom was amazing with spa bath and tv. Breakfast was brilliant too with a great selection to chose from. Overall I would highly recommended this beautiful boutique hotel to anyone wanting to visit Bowness on Windermere and will certainly be telling anyone who will listen to give the Cranleigh a visit. We will 100% be back very soon.
Excellent Wintermacy 1 evening stay ♥️ I would just like to say thanks so much for a very enjoyable stay, from the fizz, rose petals & personalised congratulations card. You really made our stay fabulous. We can’t wait to stay again hopefully next time for a couple of nights rather than just the one.

Me and my boyfriend stayed in The Sanctuary Suite on Sunday for his birthday and we have nothing but positive things to say about Cranleigh Boutique! The location is stunning and you have all of the restaurants and bars on your doorstep. The room was absolutely stunning and the attention to detail was superb. The private outdoor hot tub was to die for and it was so relaxing to just sit back and relax with a glass of bubbly (part of the Wintermacy package) and listen to our fave songs that linked up to the outside speakers. The staff were warm, welcoming and very helpful and the room service breakfast was top quality. We would highly recommend and are already looking forward to planning our next trip back, thank you Cranleigh!
We stayed here for a Friday and Saturday night stay. Having booked the Wintermacy offer, we arrived a bit earlier than the expected 15:00 check in. The staff are very friendly and very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was very nice and modern and just what we needed. The breakfast was great with plenty to choose from. The offer included champagne in the room and afternoon tea at the Fizzy Tarte. The afternoon tea was great with plenty on it. Also finishing off the afternoon with some great cocktails was great. The use of the Burnside Spa was also a nice touch, only a two minute walk away. The hotel is situated only a three to five minute walk away from the lake where you can enjoy a lake cruise. We enjoyed a cruise and walk ticket. We will definitely be returning to this hotel in the not too distant future and will recommend to our family and friends.

LOVELY VALENTINES WEEKEND AWAY – Cannot fault this hotel one little bit, we returned to stay in the main hotel after we stayed in the Church Suites last time. Every room is lovely. We stayed in room 6 which had a lovely Jacuzzi bath. The breakfast was excellent and a good choice. We booked the wintermacy package so we had afternoon tea at The Fizzy Tarté which was very nice and a free lake cruise to Ambleside although it was very wet at this time of year! We will certainly be back again soon!
Stayed in room 5 with the wintermacy deal, the room was a lovely size very luxurious and we’ll thought out, the chocolates where delightful. The bathroom and spa bath and TV where great. Breakfast was lovely good selection on the continental and I really enjoyed the eggs benedict staff where attentive but not intrusive. My husband ordered wine for our room which we didn’t open on the first night and this was happily changed the following day to give us a chilled bottle. Extra tea coffee and fresh milk was available and brought to us on request. The staff where delightful and nothing was too much trouble.
The Fizzy Tarte offer was included this too was a pleasure and their cocktails are highly recommended. We used the free spa access. We will definitely stay again it’s a lovely hotel.
Top class luxury hotel. What a fantastic place & what a real treat. We stayed under the Winter offer, room & breakfast (inc champagne on arrival) plus an afternoon tea at Fizzy Tart – totally brilliant. The weather was apocalyptic… Very heavy rain but it didn’t matter as the hotel & everything about it was first class. Our room, Superior Room 2 was good size located on the corner of the building, with a big window looking down the road back into town. Large bathroom with under floor heating. Villeroy & Boch sanitary ware plus a large power shower & the whole room was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious, had full English on both mornings & it was one of the best – high quality ingredients cooked to perfection, served in lovely big room. The hotel has the perfect location, 3 mins & you are in town (which helped in the driving rain!) & next to the Lake. Finally we need to acknowledge the staff, in particular Mickeala leading from the front , the staff were attentive, friendly & professional but especially Mickeala. An absolute asset to an top class hotel. Definitely going to return. This was special

Third time stay! – Wow, The Cranleigh never disappoints! This is our third time in which we have stayed here, we have stayed in the Opulence suite, Luxury room 14 and then we have just stayed in Suite 10. The rooms we have stayed in are all beautiful. The staff are always exceptionally friendly too! I love the location as it’s right near their restaurant BAHA and bar (The Fizzy Tarte) – which are both amazing too.
We also booked as part of the Wintermacy package, which meant we got a complimentary bottle of champagne and rose petals on the bed. A lovely touch!
Overall, very happy and we will definitely return!
