Spring is on our doorstep, the weather is getting (slightly) warmer and Easter Lake District is almost here! We can’t think of a better place to spend the Easter holidays than in the beautiful Lake District. National Trust, Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt!


Every year, Cadbury and the National Trust work together to create one of the most exciting Easter Egg Hunts in the Lake District.

Now, this is not just any Easter Egg hunt, but one which adults and children alike can enjoy.  In other words, you’ll run through muddy woodlands, around mystical lakes and along nature trails. In the event that, you’ll get to collect delicious Cadbury eggs!

However, there’ll be plenty of games and craft activities galore, so you can stay for a whole day of fun. What’s more exciting, is that every time you head out on a Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt, you’ll help us fund vital conservation work to protect special places for future generations to explore.

Finally, this year there are FOUR exciting trails in the Lake District to choose from. These include, Coniston, Fell Foot, Tarn Hows, Hill Top, Near Sawrey and Claife Heights!

Easter walk around Elterwater & Skelweth Bridge


No trip to the Lake District is the same without a good ol’ walk around the picturesque views of The Lake District.

Then again, who could say to no to the views of surrounding fells, lakes and waterfalls? Given that, we’re sure it’s the perfect way to get together with friends and family!

With this in mind, just a short drive from the beautiful views of Lake Windermere is the widely popular spot of Elterwater.

The Elterwater stroll is loved by many due to its easy access. In particular, it features some excellently maintained paths that even wheelchairs can use.

Although, ElterWater is the smallest of the 16 lakes in the Lake District, it resides many Scandinavian swans. To point out, they are very very big and great to snap photos of!

Nothing says Easter like the exploring The World of Beatrix Potter with Peter Rabbit!

This Easter Weekend, guests of Bowness on Windermere have the delight of enjoying a scrumptious party lunch with Peter Rabbit at The Laundromat, Old Laundry Studio.
