“Sadly we only had a one night stay as a birthday treat for my wife. What a brilliant choice I made. The room (16) was superb, underfloor heating, jacuzzi bath, mood lighting, and the most comfortable bed ever. All the staff were fantastic professional, attentive, friendly and helpful. “Lake district getaway”
“Me and my fiancée have just returned from a two-night stay in room 16. The idea of the stay was to get away from things at home/work and the Cranleigh certainly ticked all the boxes for this. We arrived and check-in was quick and easy and we were shown straight to our room and settled in straight away. After this, we headed into the town and visited several places that the hotel had recommended in advance mainly Lake View Garden Bar, Fizzy Tarte and Baha all of which were great to visit and thoroughly enjoyable. All in all this hotel is a right little treat and we can’t wait to visit again in the near future.“

“This was our 8th stay at The Cranleigh, if that doesn’t sell it enough for you then read on. We were greeted by the lovely Mikaela, who instantly and warmly welcomed us back. We opted for Room 16 this time around for a three-night stay for our wedding anniversary, having had our mini-moon (and many more visits) at the Cranleigh. Our room had an amazing bath, lovely large king bed, lush products and a lovely surprise of a bottle of champagne! We were greeted by the lovely Mickeala, who instantly and warmly welcomed us back. We opted for Room 16 this time round for a three night stay for our wedding anniversary, having had our mini moon (and many more visits) at the Cranleigh.
Our room had an amazing air spa bath, lovely large king bed, lush products and a lovely surprise of a bottle of champagne!
Breakfasts were always amazing and the staff were really attentive, even during the busy periods. We made use of our discount loyalty card received in our welcome pack at the Lake View Garden Bar and the Baha Cafe Lounge during our stay and extended our final day in Bowness-on-Windermere before heading home by visiting a nearby hotel spa that The Cranleigh offer to their guests.
The Cranleigh is within minutes walk of Lake Windermere, water activities, pubs, cafes, restaurants and bars. Walks are plentiful around the area including up to Windermere where you can easily jump on a train to neighbouring villages.
We will, without question, be heading back to The Cranleigh to see Mickeala and the team again very very soon.
What a beautiful hotel and in a fantastic location.
We went for two nights and stayed in one of the luxury rooms, room 16. The decor is fantastic, the bed was very comfy and the shower was one of the best, along with the jacuzzi bath the rooms are worth every penny.
The customer service from the staff is just excellent and nothing is two much trouble.
Also the breakfast was outstanding and you can chop and change to suit exactly what you want, without any funny looks from the staff. They just seemed happy to help and they where all very pleasant.
A really enjoyable stay, highly recommended and we are both looking forward to returning.
