What a fantastic place & what a real treat. we stayed under a Winter offer, room & breakfast (inc champagne on arrival) plus an afternoon tea at Fizzy Tart – totally brilliant. the weather was apocalyptic..v v heavy rain but it didnt matter as the hotel & everything about it was first class. Our room, Superior Room 2 was good size located on the corner of the building, with a big window looking down the road back into town. Large bathroom with under floor heating. Villeroy & Boch sanitary ware plus a large power shower & the whole room was spotlessly clean. breakfast was delicious, had full English on both morning & it was one of the best – high quality ingredients cooked to perfection , served in lovely big room. the hotel has the perfect location, 3 mins & you are in town (which helped in the driving rain!) & next to the Lake. finally we need to acknowledge the staff, in particular Mickeala leading from the front , the staff were attentive, friendly & professional but especially Mickeala, nothing was too much trouble , she was incredibly helpful, always smiling & looking to assist – an absolute asset to an top class hotel. Definitely going to return. This was special.
