The Indulgence Suite is located on the ground floor of our Church Suite residence. On arrival to our suites, you’ll find our suites are tucked quietly in the heart of Bowness on Windermere. They’re also located just a minute’s walk Bowness Bay and stunning & picturesque views of Lake Windermere.
Our Church Suite guests also receive complimentary car parking, just a couple of minute’s walk at our main hotel building.

After me and my boyfriend had been looking at these suites online and all the amazing reviews I decided to book the indulgence suite for my boyfriends surprise 30th birthday…it did not disappoint!! It was amazing, from the moment we checked in. Right in the centre of Bowness-on-Windermere and all of the luxury it promised. The indulgence suite has the hot tub outdoors in your own private courtyard area and with a view of the church across the road whilst sitting in the hot tub with the speakers where we could choose the music from the iPad.
(the iPad DOES pull off the wall, we only discoverd this on our 2nd night because we were too scared to pull and brake it) the room has a large fridge fully stocked with all the mini bar drinks but has more room if you need to put other things in. The lighting and the projector screen are easy to use from the iPad too. The bath is probably bigger than the hot tub and has a big screen tv built into the wall (looks like the mirror opposite the bath)All in all we had the most A-Mazing time and are looking for a reason to go back again.
Well where on earth do I start?? From checking in to checking out, I cannot express just how amazing the experience was. We booked in for 2 nights in the Indulgence Suite and we did not want to come home.
We were greeted by the amazing reception staff who made us feel at home straight away. The church suites are a 2 minute walk from the main building so we parked in the main car park, unloaded our bags and strolled down the quaint street, anxious about what our room would be like. Ordinarily, images are uploaded of rooms ect and when you get there its not half what you expected, BUT on entering the digital code and opening the door, we walked into what I can only describe as heaven. Picture two kids on Christmas day when they see the presents under the tree. 🙂 we explored the room and the facilities with smiles on our faces, and already we knew we were onto a winner!!
We took the control ipad off the wall and started to play with the lighting effects, the sound system, the movies, and it was so easy to work out. Don’t be scared if your not tech minded!
The bed…well, it was HUGE, and amazingly comfortable, with the tinted mirrors either side giving it a very romantic touch.
The bathroom – the jacuzzi bath, was out of this world! To lay there with a glass of vodka and coke (complimentary from the mini fridge i may add) relax and watch a film with my partner was like something only celebs can indulge in! The rubber ducky was a cute little touch too! Again there was mood lighting under water also giving it that extra special touch. The rainfall shower was amazing, and the open plan feeling of the whole room, was fab!
Open the door to your private hottub again with lighting and music to chill out to. what more could you ask for???
We found ourselves just looking at each other thinking ‘is this for real?’
So after playing with all the gadgets, we went out to explore for food. Being foodies ourselves we like to dine high, and if you’re anything like us, Baha is the place for you to go! Its connected with Cranleigh and you can see why. The attention to detail is carried through here too! Absolutely stunning!
Now I dont want to give away all of the secrets of the Church suites, you have to visit to really understand how amazing it was.
What I will say is make full use of the complimentary spa pass for the Burnside. Want to feel like a celeb? go for a dip in the pool, which is lit by, again, romantic mood lighting, the pool lit and with a dim light around, not just your usual pool. TRUST ME!
On our check out, we sat and spoke with the GM, she explained how the tech is all unique to Cranleigh and they have not done things half hearted. You pay for what you get as they say and every penny was worth it! If your looking for something to exceed all expectations. The Church suites are for you, the indulgence suite in particular. We will be returning thats for sure!!!
